1982

FOUNDATION

In 1982 Hannes Pflaum founded the firm at its current location in the first district of Vienna at Nibelungengasse 1. From the very beginning, the firm focuses on architectural law, which is still a core area of practice of the firm's lawyers. Hannes Pflaum retired as a lawyer and partner of the firm in 2016.

1998

EXPANSION

Manfred Wiener joins the firm as a partner in 1998. Wilfried Opetnik follows as a partner in 2002. The firm expands its areas of practice and since then offers comprehensive support and advice in the areas of commercial law, real estate, construction law, contract- as well as real estate law, corporate law, dispute resolution as well as public law.

2007

ADMISSION

Petra Rindler joins the firm as the first female partner in 2007.

The Handbook of Civil Engineering Law elaborated by the firm's partners is published and immediately establishes itself as a well-accepted work. In 2025, the third edition of the handbook is released.

2012

CONSOLIDATION

Christoph Henseler becomes a partner of the law firm in 2012, putting the firm's advisory expertise on an even broader footing. Together with clients, employees, friends and colleagues, the firm celebrates its 30th anniversary.

2024

NEW HORIZONS

Madeleine Buric joins the firm as the second female partner. With currently five partners - two of whom are female - and its new name Pflaum Wiener Rindler Opetnik, the firm offers its expertise as well as its qualified and specialized support and advice.

Hannes Pflaum gründet die Kanzlei 1982 am heutigen Standort in der Nibelungengasse 1 im Zentrum Wiens. Ein inhaltlicher Schwerpunkt liegt von Beginn an im Architekt:innenrecht, das auch heute noch eine Kernkompetenz der Jurist:innen der Kanzlei bildet. Hannes Pflaum emeritiert 2016 als Rechtsanwalt und Partner der Kanzlei.

1998

ERWEITERUNG

Manfred Wiener tritt 1998 als Partner in die Kanzlei ein. Wilfried Opetnik folgt 2002. Die Kanzlei erweitert ihre Kompetenzbereiche und bietet seit dem umfassende Beratung in den Bereichen Wirtschaftsrecht, Immobilien-, Bauvertrags- und Bauträger:innenrecht, Unternehmensrecht, Schieds- und Zivilverfahrensrecht sowie öffentliches Recht.

2007

VERTIEFUNG

Petra Rindler wird 2007 als erste Partnerin in die Kanzlei aufgenommen.

Das von den Partner:innen der Kanzlei herausgegebene Handbuch des Ziviltechnikerrechts erscheint in erster Auflage und etabliert sich sofort als Standardwerk. 2025 erscheint es bereits in dritter Auflage.

2012

KONSOLIDIERUNG

Christoph Henseler wird 2012 Partner der Kanzlei und stellt damit die Beratungskompetenz auf eine noch breitere Basis. Gemeinsam mit Mandant:innen, Mitarbeiter:innen, Freund:innen sowie Kolleg:innen werden erfolgreiche 30 Jahre gefeiert.
